Aldi stores offer big savings on quality items in a no-frills setting. With over 2,000 stores in 38 states, it’s worth a visit to check out your local Aldi if you’re lucky enough to have one nearby. Bring your own shopping bags so you don’t have to buy them, and bring a quarter to be able to "rent" a shopping cart during your trip. Aldi stores primarily carry their own store brand, which has a guarantee, so it’s worth giving them a try. You’ll also find rock-bottom prices on snacks, spices, household products, produce, meat, poultry, fish, dairy products, frozen items and other nonperishable foods. Aldi stores are relatively small and do not have as many items as a typical supermarket, but they do carry the most popular items.

Take the time to create a list of your most-frequently purchased items and compare the prices at Aldi to your regular grocery store. When I did this, I found significant savings at Aldi on the selected items they carried.
